Lead Louisiana Begins in Madison Parish, Oct 27


Tonight, Lead Louisiana began in Tallulah, Louisiana. Participants received training in Module 1 of the Lead Louisiana curriculum:


Module 1: We discuss what is community development
and how does leadership affect community development.

Module 1 lays the foundation for Modules 2-4.

DRDC Faculty Considering New Parishes for Lead Louisiana 2009-2010

DRDC faculty are working with community leaders across northeast Louisiana to identify the next round of classes to be offered for Lead Louisiana.

The Lead Louisiana Institute - Faculty Prepare Launch for Fall 2009

Faculty at the LSU Agricultural Center's Delta Rural Development Center have created the Lead Louisiana Institute. LLI will focus on delivering multiple courses in leadership training to rural community leaders.

The first course, Lead Louisiana, has already been piloted tested in Tensas, Richland and Concordia Parishes in the spring of 2009. Faculty are preparing to offer Lead Louisiana 2, a regional leadership program building on principles of leadership learned in Lead Louisiana. Also, faculty are developing a special program dedicated to supporting the development of non-profit organizations by delivering leadership training to board directors and members throughout the 12 parish Louisiana Delta Initiative region starting in 2010.
